Analyst Predicts Big Numbers for BioShock Infinite
Will BioShock Infinite sell to a greater extent copies than any other game in the series earlier information technology? At least one analyst is saying yes.
Contempt not coming unconscious until next year, analysts are already weighing in on how many units BioShock Infinite will sell, with Mike Hickey of Janco Partners predicting that Irrational leave ship just about Little Phoeb zillion units of the game at launch.
Committal to writing in a preeminence to investors, Hickey aforementioned that the first BioShock shipped 2.2 1000000 copies in its first twelvemonth, and oversubscribed 4 million copies overall. The second game – which was made by 2K Marin, and non Irrational – didn't make out quite as well, only selling 3 million copies. In his note, Hickey said that he expected Infinite to go past both games, generating approximately $221 zillion in sales.
With indeed little hard information about BioShock Unbounded, Hickey is likely basing much of his prediction along the bombilate surrounding the game, both from the press, and from members of the populace who have seen it at shows like PAX East. I'm not entirely sure how that excitement translates into such a taxon number, but on the other hand, I'm non a market analyst.
BioShock Infinite comes away for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 at roughly point in 2012.
